Vanilla Ice thinks Justin Bieber only has a few years left to be famous, before the teen singer is forgotten about.

The rapper said enjoyed success himself during his younger years, but says fame doesn't last forever.

"I mean, I did Ice Ice Baby when I was 16. So I can kind of relate a bit," says Vanilla, whose real name is Rob Van Winkle.

"[I] Sold over a hundred million records. And I had a weekend that lasted about three years, and I didn't know who I was, what's my purpose in life.

"So my prediction about Bieber is that he's going to go through one of those weekends that lasts a few years because he's had such success as a child act," Ice told the Huffington Post.

"You know, then something else new will come along and he'll be forgotten and he can try to put all the pieces back together, so it's going to be entertaining to watch."

Justin Bieber won't be doing any work for the next month, as he's taking a break.

The Somebody To Love star has spent the last year on the road touring, promoting his music and releasing a movie - so he's putting his feet up for a short while.

And Justin plans to use his time-out to "grow up" a little.

"I've been working so hard, I'm taking a month off. It's been great to just think and enjoy hanging out with my friends," Bieber explained to the Hollywood Reporter.

"I'm still growing up, and when you're working every day, you don't really get a chance to figure out who you are. So with the time off, I'm able to think, pray and just kind of grow up."

After his break, Justin will then start working on his next album and he'll be recording with Kanye West and Chris Brown
